Layout

Layout refers to the designed or composed marking area consisting of marking Entities and or Non-Printing objects such as Input, Output, Way point and Dwell Timer.  This composed marking layout is saved within the .cmtl file type container proprietary to I-Mark.  In addition the Layout stores all of the Font, Position, Sizes and other various parameters with corresponding data for all of the Entities stored in the Layout.

 

Workspace

A proprietary container file (.cmtw) used to organize all of the files including Layouts, Fonts, Graphics, Settings for a particular or group of marking Controllers found within a network.  The Workspace will assocaite each controller with it's appropriate files as well as store the specific settings of a device such as the Name, IP Address, MAC Address, Local File Paths as well as the default settings for creating new layouts or entities.
